Abstract

The proposal is to develop a master plan for the El Verde Field Station of the University of Puerto Rico. The field station is an important resource for research and training in neotropical rain forests and is part of several research in long term ecological research in the region. The plan will provide a framework for adding dormitory space for students and a communication system for students and visitors. This plan will enhance the education opportunities at El Verde and enable outreach to K-12 groups. The field station serves a large number of underrepresented groups.
