Abstract

The NSDL services project will leverage the substantial resources within NSDL, Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT), and the Robert Noyce Scholar leadership community to create cost-effective and sustainable strategies to benefit a large cohort of the nation's Noyce Scholars. The intellectual merit of the project includes the use of the latest research on network communities of practice and web-based collaboration. The broader impacts of the project include the integration of NSDL services through MERLOT, which will enable locally developed expertise for teaching science and mathematics with NSDL resources in high need schools to be widely shared.
