National Science Foundation NSF Software Development for Cyberinfrastructure (SDCI) Program Office of Cyberinfrastructure Proposal Number: 0721684 Principal Investigator: Miron Livny Institution: University of Wisconsin-Madison Proposal Title: SDCI NMI Improvement: Metronome The NMI Build and Test Framework Abstract Metronome, formerly the NMI Build and Test System, is an open source framework for building, integrating, and testing large-scale software stacks hosting computer applications and services in distributed, heterogeneous environments. This work supports, maintains, and enhances the framework through system documentation, ticket system based support, facilitating online communities, and direct engagement with major projects. Maintenance activities include new releases with bug fixes and support for new operating systems and tools. Enhancement activities include implementation of key features identified by users and collaborators.
