Abstract

0735893 Luryi This research involves investigation and potential development of new radiation detection technology. It is speculated that crystalline semiconductor detectors developed using epitaxial techniques are likely to represent the next substantial development in radiation detection technology, thus an important new class of nuclear radiation sensors could result from this study. This work is also likely to be of value in nuclear medicine and radiology in general.
