Abstract

The Oceanography Society (TOS) will publish a special issue of Oceanography magazine in September 2007 (volume 20-3) on the topic of "Marine Population Connectivity." An understanding of this topic is critical to maintaining biodiversity in the oceans and managing fisheries. This special issue will address the state of the science pertaining to marine population connectivity and highlight future research directions that will be necessary to advance our knowledge and management options. TOS membership represents all disciplines of oceanography and ocean technology and Oceanography has a worldwide distribution including many colleges and high schools.
