AST 0714627 Meech This award provides participant support for the 9th triennial Bioastronomy meeting, to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, July 16-20, 2007. The theme of the 2007 meeting, "Molecules, Microbes, and Extraterrestrial Life". The meeting will serve to bring together an international, interdisciplinary group of researchers to share and discuss the latest findings related to solar system origins, star formation, planetary science, astrobiology, and life in extreme environments. There are several education and public outreach activities associated with the meeting. These include a workshop on teaching astronomy and astrobiology, a workshop for local science teachers, an astrobiology graduate student meeting, and a lecture for the public. ***
