Abstract

Karlqvist The Swedish research vessel Oden will provide support to the NSF award to Dr. Robert Reves-Sohn of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, NSF award # OPP 04-25838. The project is international and part of the International Polar Year, under US leadership. The Swedish government have made Oden available to other countries as part of a pool key assets during the International Polar Year. The work will entail an initial test period, and then as cruise that will investigate the geological and oceanographic features of the Gakkel Ridge in the central Arctic Ocean.
