Abstract

The American Meteorological Society (AMS), with the support of NASA, NOAA, and NSF, has for many years been able to support and provide several meteorology journals to less developed countries. The journals are used to assist in developing classroom lectures and keeping scientists in undeveloped countries aware of current meteorology research and discoveries. The AMS will continue to offer all eight of their journals and the year-end archive CD-ROM to those institutions that have adaquate computer capacity and internet access at sufficient bandwidth. The remaining institutions will receive the Journal of Climate, Monthly Weather Review, and Weather and Forecasting in print form.
