Abstract
Advances in minimally invasive devices/procedures for diagnosis and treatment represent one of the most significant developments in the health care industry. The University of Minnesota and the University of Cincinnati have joined to create an Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Minimally Invasive Medical Technology. This center will focus on scientific research and technologies to accelerate the development of next generation devices for minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment procedures, with research themes involving endovascular devices, endoscopes, laparoscopic devices, and noninvasive devices.
