Abstract
This project will develop a new type of search coil magnetometer designed for observing magnetic pulsations with frequencies in the range of 0.1 millihertz. The magnetometer will be designed to have extremely low noise characteristics in the sub-millihertz frequency arrange, allowing it to detect very weak signals. The development of this magnetometer will make it possible to study the coupling of solar oscillations to the solar wind and then the coupling of those oscillations into Earth's magnetosphere.
