Abstract

This Nanotechnology Undergraduate Education (NUE) program entitled, "NUE-Nanoscience and Technology Studies Cognate," at the University of South Carolina Columbia under the direction of Dr. David Berube, will develop a cognate (short minor) that will provide students with the skills needed to communicate effectively about nanoscience, thereby filling wide gaps in the public participation in nanotechnology. This award was received in response to the Nanotechnology Undergraduate Education (NUE) Program Solicitation (NSF 06-538), and is being co-funded by the Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE), Division of Social and Economic Sciences (SES) and the Directorate for Engineering (ENG), Division of Engineering Education and Centers (EEC)
