Abstract

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II project will develop a novel high-resolution instrument capable of penetrating and imaging live cells down to the 50 nm resolution level. This can provide further insights into the molecular makeup of cells and may open new avenues toward the understanding of cellular processes and their modification at a physically visible level as a result of pathologies. Moreover, the technology may allow visualization of cellular substructures and their dynamic relationships within living cells.
