ABSTRACT 0631266 Betty H. Cheng Michigan State University Travel Grant for Attending Doctoral Symposium for RE06 This proposal is a request for $10,000 to support travel and accommodation costs for U.S. students selected to attend the 2006 International Requirements Engineering Conference on (RE 06) Doctoral Symposium to be held in September 2006 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We propose to provide up to $1000 of funding each for approximately 10 eligible students who are selected for support based on their needs. The Doctoral Symposium at RE06 provides a venue for young researchers to access world-wide expertise in requirements engineering. The Symposium is a one-day closed event held as part of RE06 that provides a forum for Ph.D. students to publicly discuss their research goals, methods, and results at an early stage in their research.
