Abstract

AST-0619596/Werthimer, USRA A scalable, upgradable, FPGA-based computing platform and software design methodology will be developed that can be used to implement a wide variety of radio astronomy applications. The project relies on a small number of modular, connectible, upgradable, hardware components and platform-idependent software libraries that can be reused and scaled as hardware capabilities expand. The instrumentation technology that results from this work will be widely available to the radio astronomy community.
