Abstract

Abstract 0622875 Gordaninejad, Faramarz University of Nevada, Reno This project is to hold a workshop for the advancement of smart materials and smart structures technology in May, 2006. The workshop, which will draw active experts in the filed from all around the world to exchange the state of the art, is sponsored by the Asia-Pacific Network of Centers for Research in Smart Structures Technology (ANCRiSST), which currently has more than 15 center members world-wide, and will be hosted by the University of Nevada, Reno. The workshop is expected to develop synergies that could facilitate cooperative research projects and research-related activities that could be best carried out in a center-to-center or center network basis. The activities would also serve to develop the next generation engineers in this emerging field of high impacts and to provide continued professional development for practicing engineers.
