Abstract

0609288 Finkelstein This research will impact three areas of future potential to nanoelectronics research: i) Development of self-assembling DNA superstructures based on DNA "tiles" to expand recent successes for the advancement of nanoelectronics goals. ii) Chemical methods for the modification and conversion of DNA templates into active electronic nanostructures, which have previously been hard/impossible to construct by conventional methods. iii) Physical characterization and measurement of the electronic properties of the nanostructures.
