Abstract
AST-0603971/Lonsdale The work involves the development and testing of an innovative technique for controlling the field-of-view of next-generation radio arrays in a precise manner. Such field of view is a prerequisite for computationally affordable high dynamic range imaging, and fulfillment of the promise of greatly enhanced sensitivities and scientific capabilities relative to current instruments. The work has applications to the Square Kilometer Array and other future instruments. Graduate and undergraduate students will participate through the NSF REU program.
