Abstract

Abstract Program: NSF 04-588 CISE Computing Research Infrastructure Title: CRI: A Cluster Infrastructure for High-Performance Visualization and Interface Research Proposal: CNS 0551727 PI: Ma, Kwan-Liu Institution: University of California - Davis Project: The PI's will conduct research on specialized, high-performance visualization servers leading to a new model to deploy and disseminate state of the art visualization services. Their research will include new algorithms and interface designs for remote and collaborative data analysis and visualization. The project aim is to develop technologies that would be models for grid computing providing advanced services, while relieving application scientists and engineers of the need to maintain and develop such services. The project includes a strong program to engage graduate and undergraduate students in the research activities.
