Abstract 0612937 Wang, Jane Northwestern University Partial travel support is provided for young and established researchers to participate in A Focused Conference/Workshop on Frontiers in Boundary Lubricating Films, which will be held in Lyon, France, during April 9-14, 2006. The purpose of the meeting is to explore cutting-edge research and research needs in the several fields, which are relevant to the topic of boundary lubrication, from materials science and chemistry to surface engineering, mechanics, and tribology. The topic has significant importance for energy consumption in transportation and manufacturing machinery and for development of environmentally benign lubricant additives. Results of the conference will be recommendations for future research directions, development of international collaborations and publication of the presented papers.
