Abstract
The purpose of this symposium is to provide a forum for scientists from different fields of polymer materials science for discussion of fundamental results and prospective application of non-traditional, highly-branched and 3-dimensional macromolecules at various engineered interfaces. The symposium will focus on the latest advances in new architectures, interfacial assembly and properties, and emerging applications for dendrimers, hyperbranches, stars, brushes, rod-dendrons, nanoparticles and 3D macromolecules at surfaces and interfaces. A broader impact of this symposium is anticipated via enhanced training of graduate students and younger researchers who will be partially supported and will attend this symposium and participate in oral and poster sessions and discussion with prominent invited speakers who are committed to attend this symposium.
