Abstract

This action funds a workshop at which results of the recently completed survey of postdocs in the US conducted by the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society will be presented and discussed. Participants will address the findings by preparing materials for use on campuses of all types of academic institutions who employ and host postdoctoral research scientists. Training sessions will focus on the resources needed for effective early career development for young scientists. The workshop is being held at the Sigma Xi headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC in January, 2006.
