Abstract
0502629 Coale This award to San Jose State University in California provides support for the acquisition of oceanographic instrumentation to be used on R/V Point Sur operated by the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories. Specifically, support is recommended to acquire a CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) instrument, a dissolved oxygen sensor, and a 3-D GPS unit for motion sensing to correct current data acquired with acoustic current profilers. These shared-use instrument acquisitions improve the capabilities of the research vessel, and are expected to be used by most researchers using R/V Point Sur in their research during 2005 and future years. ***
