Abstract

This conference, planned for the spring of 2006 in Washington, DC, would present results from recent studies of large-scale professional development efforts in mathematics and science to teams of state level policy makers responsible for designing, implementing and presenting professional development. The conference focuses on assisting state leaders in the development of effective strategies for their local context. Participants will receive briefing manuals to use when communicating conference information to their local colleagues.
