Abstract

AST-0522950 Koo Nearly Normal Galaxies in a LCDM Universe, August 7-August 12, 2005. This symposium will address the recent explosion of observational data in the field of galactic and extragalactic astronomy, and confront it with advanced theory and numerical simulations. By bringing together international leaders and a significant number of junior astronomers, and by targeting under-represented groups, the meeting will encourage an unusually broad intellectual exchange and the wide dissemination of ideas.
