Abstract

ABSTRACT 0508019 Lori Clarke U of Mass This proposal is a request for $10,000 to support travel and accommodation costs for U.S. students selected to attend the 2005 International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2005) Doctoral Symposium to be held in May 2005 in St. Louis, MO. We propose to provide up to $1000 of funding each for approximately 10 eligible students who are selected for support based on their needs. The Doctoral Symposium at ICSE provides a venue for young researchers to access world-wide expertise in software engineering. The Symposium is a one-day closed event held as part of ICSE that provides a forum for Ph.D. students to publicly discuss their research goals, methods, and results at an early stage in their research.
