ABSTRACT #0428089 This is a dissertation project to examine the historical development of environmental policy and management regimes in Alaska and the Yukon. Utilizing ethnographic and historical methodologies, the researcher will explore comanagement practices of the US and Canada over the last 50 years in order to better understand aboriginal-state relations.
