Abstract

This award provides funding for a 3-year standard award to support a Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) Site program at the University of Arizona (UA) entitled, "Discovering the Link Between University and Industrial Environmental Research," under the direction of Dr. Kimberly L. Ogden. This site will bring together UA, the City of Tucson Environmental Management Division, Raytheon Missle Systems, Tucson Electric Power, Tucson Unifed School District (TUSD), Marana Unified School District (MUSD), Nogales School District, and other districts in Pima County, Arizona, to provide 17 teachers and 8 pre-service teachers per year with an environmental discovery-based research experience.
