STEP-UP: Summer Teacher Experience in Packaging, Utilizing Physics -- "RET Site"

Abstract

This award provides funding for a 3 year continuing award to support a Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) Site program at Georgia Institute of Technology entitled, "STEP-UP: Summer Teacher Experience in Packaging, Utilizing Physics--RET Site," under the direction of Dr. Leyla Conrad. This site will host 36 in-service high school physics teachers from metropolitan Atlanta public school systems. The STEP-UP program will provide a comprehensive high school teacher research experience at the microelectronics Packaging Research Center (PRC), an NSF Engineering Research Center (ERC), in collaboration with the School of Physics at Georgia Tech.
