Abstract
This project will deploy 30 ocean bottom seismometers at the Quebrada/Discovery/Gofar transform fault system on the equatorial East Pacific Rise for a period of one year to study the mechanical processes that control earthquake nucleation and the relative partitioning of seismic and aseismic fault slip.
