Abstract
PI: James Beavers, University of Tennessee Research Objective and Motivation. The motivation for this project is to give undergraduates and graduates the opportunity to participate in an international conference on lifeline earthquake engineering. The research objective is to stimulate students interested in earthquake engineering toward a professional career. . Intellectual Merit. The intellectual merit of this proposal is to stimulate students interest in lifeline earthquake engineering and to broaden their interest in earthquake engineering, especially lifeline earthquake engineering Broader Impact. The broader impact of this project is the opportunity to help develop the next generation of lifeline earthquake engineers.
