Abstract

This proposal will establish an advanced network connection from the University of the South, through Vanderbilt University to the Southern Crossroads Gigapop and on to the Abilene/Internet2 network for research and education. Driving collaborative research applications include * Landscape analysis * Appalachian Watershed Research, * GIS Information for the Cumberland Plateau, and * Astronomy to share research data.
