Abstract
This award provides funding for the support of a one-year Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) Site program entitled, "Strengthening Teachers Education in Engineering and Research (STEER)," at California State University at Los Angeles (CSULA)in collaboration with California State University at Long Beach under the direction of Dr. Helen R. Boussalis. The CSULA facilities including the Multimedia Technology Laboratory, the Structures Pointing and Control Engineering (SPACE) Laboratory, and the CSULB Robotics and Automation Laboratory and the Long Beach Public Safety Building will collaborate to provide the research knowledge and facilites required to support the five-week program involving 15 teachers and college faculty in cutting edge research at these research laboratories.
