RET: Summer Research Experiences for Community College Professors/K-12 Teachers

Abstract

This award provides funding for a one year award to Loyola Marymount University (LMU) for a Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) Site Program entitled, "Summer Research Experience for Community College Professors/K-12 Teachers," under the direction of Dr. Omar Es-Said. This program will involve 16 participants, 3 community college professors and 13 K-12 teachers from the Los Angeles area, in research projects at LMU in the areas of materials engineering, mechanical engineering, biochemistry, and biology.
