0314107 Chen This award supports planning and development of U.S.-Korea research cooperation in the area of mathematics. Dr. Zhangxin Chen of Southern Methodist University will work with Professor Do Young Kwak of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) on mixed finite volume methods and their applications. The project will also facilitate participation of an American graduate student in the East Asia Summer Institute - Korea program. The student will gain international research experience by working during the summer at KAIST.
