Abstract
This Empirical Implications of Theoretical Models training award affords the Ph.D. student the opportunity to take a year of course at Princeton University in formal and empirical training. The training involves formal course work in formal modeling and the corresponding statistical analysis techniques. The training will strengthen the dissertation and future research of the student in the study of comparative political economy. The training has the broader social value of enhancing understanding of comparative political economy and the interdisciplinary skills of the student. It also strengthens the research and teaching skills of this future member of the professorate.
