Abstract

This grant provides funding for cosponsoring an International Conference on Frontiers of Design and Manufacturing (ICFDM'02) which has been organized by Dalian University of Technology in China and the University of Michigan, to address many of the challenges manufacturing enterprises faced as the world is moving fast trowards globalization. This conference has attracted many enthusiastic interest from many parts of the the world with over 300 submitted papers. The National Natural Science Foundation of China has also merged its Design and Manufacturing Grantee Conference with this ICFDM'02.
