Abstract
This award is made under the high performance connections portion of ANIR's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 98-102. It provides partial support for two years for an OC-3 connection for Binghamton University, Rockefeller University, and SUNY at Stony Brook. Applications include modeling of earthquake site effects, large scale data analysis on remote computing systems, climate system modeling, interactive MRI studies, and phase-field simulations of phase transformations. Collaborating institutions include but are not limited to Notre Dame University, Cornell University, UCLA, Washington University, Duke University, California Institute of Technology, University of Michigan, Kansas State University, Brown University and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
