Abstract
This award is made under the high performance connections portion of ANIR's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 98-102. It provides partial support for two years for an OC-3 connection. Applications include 3-dimensional visualization, enhanced teleradiology, telemedicine, high-speed flow simulations, remote sensing devices, distance education, and collaborative data analysis. Collaborating institutions include but are not limited to Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, George Mason University, Mary Washington College, NASA, Stanford University, Seattle Biomedical Research Facility, Duke University, Emory University and the University of Oklahoma.
