Abstract
The National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR) Coordinating Center is a concerted effort involving multiple national organizations to combat childhood obesity through comprehensive and multidisciplinary research approaches. Established in 2009, NCCOR harnesses the collective expertise and resources of its founding partnersâthe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)âto accelerate progress in reversing childhood obesity trends. The Coordinating Center facilitates collaboration, enhances the efficiency of research efforts, and disseminates findings to inform policy and practice. By leveraging combined strengths, NCCOR aims to advance our understanding of childhood obesity and implement effective strategies to promote healthy weight among children and adolescents.
