Abstract
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Repository and Genomics Resource (NRGR) is a centralized national biorepository in psychiatry, providing access to high-quality biomaterials collected from over 200,000 phenotypically well-characterized control and patient subjects representing a wide range of mental illnesses. NRGR provides DNA, RNA, cell lines, and other biospecimens to the scientific research community. The objective of the NRGR is to develop, sustain, enhance, and enrich a centralized national biorepository for collection, storage, manipulation, and distribution of biospecimens and data resources from genetic studies of psychiatric disorders.
