Abstract
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke's (NINDS) Scientific Research Preparatory Summer Course prepares students from populations traditionally underrepresented in science, such as the American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN), to be competitive applicants for the NIH Summer Intern Program (SIP). The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is dedicated to training and developing a skilled workforce in the field of neuroscience to further its mission to seek fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease for all people.
