Intramural Training of NIH Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering Researchers

Abstract

Intramural trainees being supported this year include: (1) postdoctoral and postbaccalaureate trainees associated with NIBIB's Biomedical Engineering Technology Acceleration (BETA) Center; (2) postdoctoral trainees in bioengineering and the physical sciences through the NIH postdoctoral Intramural Research and Training Award (IRTA) program for US citizens and permanent residents, and the NIH postdoctoral Visiting Fellow program for foreign nationals; (3) clinical fellows through the Clinical Translational Research Fellowship Program in collaboration with the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences in the Clinical Center, NIH; (4) pre-doctoral trainees through the joint NIH Postbaccalaureate IRTA program; (5) graduate students through the Graduate Partnership Programs, including the NIH OxCam Program in the United Kingdom. In FY 2025, the Summer Internship Program and the Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program were suspended.
