Abstract
Phosphodiesterase 4B (PDE4B) in Alzheimer's disease This project proposes to use [18F]-PF974, a radiotracer developed by our laboratory, to measure phosphodiesterase 4B (PDE4B), an enzyme implicated both in inflammation as well as cognitive functioning. We hypothesize that PDE4B will be elevated in the brains of participants with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimerâs disease (AD) compared to cognitively normal controls who are amyloid negative. As a secondary endpoint, we will also collect cognitive scores and consider correlative studies.
