Abstract

The Dermatology Consultation Service provides clinical care and evaluation as well as clinical protocol support to protocols within NIAMS and other Institutes. Numerous important clinical collaborations via the Consult Service have led to the discovery of new disease syndromes as well as advances in our understanding of other challenging skin diseases. The Consultation Service is in a transition phase due to the retirement of Drs. Castelo-Soccio, Dr. Cowen, Londa Hathaway, CRNP and Kelli Karacki, PA from government service in the past year.
