Abstract
Over the past fiscal year, the Single Cell Analysis Facility (SCAF) supported approximately 80 research projects from more than 40 laboratories within the NCI Center for Cancer Research. Leveraging state-of-the-art single cell and spatial technologies, SCAF enabled high-resolution insights into cancer biology and related areas of study. This included spatial profiling of over 75 tissue sections using the Visium FFPE platform, including the high-resolution Visium HD assay and in situ sequencing of roughly 50 slides with the Xenium platform. The team produced more than 620 droplet-based single cell libraries, collectively capturing transcriptomic and epigenomic data from approximately 5.5 million cells. These efforts spanned gene expression, chromatin accessibility, and multimodal assays, and also included fixed cell profiling to accommodate difficult sample types and experimental designs. SCAF remains committed to advancing research through technology adoption, expert guidance, and continued collaboration with the broader NIH scientific community.
