Abstract

Susan G. Amara, Ph.D., serves as the Scientific Director for the NIMH IRP and provides oversight to a wide-ranging mental health research portfolio. The Scientific Director provides centralized and supplemental resources, as appropriate, to research projects in the IRP portfolio. In FY2025, we continued to support work on a whole genome sequencing initiative coordinated through the Office of the Clinical Director. We also supported supplemental funding of collaborative research projects (e.g., shared research equipment and supplies), as well as funding for the Biowulf high performance computing systems to enhance and expand NIMH IRP PIs’ computational resources.
