Abstract

The Chemical Synthesis Group, part of the Chemical Biology Laboratory, offers synthetic chemistry expertise and consultation to the NCI Intramural community. By supporting groups without in-house chemical capabilities, the Group enables access to specialized technologies for research advancement. It performs custom synthesis of non-commercial compounds at milligram to gram scales, supporting studies from biochemical pathway analysis to in vitro and in vivo experiments. Additionally, the Group offers short-term, collaborative training opportunities for postdoctoral fellows seeking hands-on experience in synthetic chemistry. This resource fills a critical gap within the CCR in a cost-effective manner.
