Abstract

Our laboratory is systematically characterizing the molecular composition and functional attributes of subsets of tumor, immune, vascular, and stromal small EVs to understand how each contributes different aspects of tumor progression or responses to treatment. By correlating structural classification with functional cargo analysis, we are establishing biologically meaningful distinctions that enable more precise investigation of cancer mechanisms. This work directly supports our parallel studies of metastatic progression (ZIA BC 011503) and viral malignancies (ZIA BC 011942) by ensuring accurate identification and isolation of functionally distinct EP populations.
