Abstract

The composition and localization of the tumor immune infiltrate can influence the outcome of such therapies. Multiple studies have shown association between survival and increased intra-tumor density of CD3+ T cells and cytotoxic and memory CD8+ T-cells. Recent studies have focused on identifying tumor-antigen specific T-cells among all T-cell types that can infiltrate a tumor.Preliminary data evaluating CD4 and CD8 by IHC in tumors suggests that CD4 and CD8 cells may not reach the tumor targets. Our aim is to identify novel histological biomarkers by characterize tumor specific T-cell using previously identified markers such as CD39 and CD103 and study their relationship to tumor and benign tissue.
