Abstract

Our work to date has revealed an intricate role for components of the innate immune system in controlling metastatic colonization. This work has been substantiated using two ex vivo human tumor systems that keep tumor and surrounding normal tissue viable outside of the patient. The work has identified new targets in cholangiocarcinoma that has resulted in a Phase II clinical trial with multiple clinical responses. The work has also resulted in combining antibody drug conjugates with regional therapy that has resulted in improved outcomes and has, for the first time in 50 years, resulted in a potentially new drug to regional therapy pumps.
